Parakiting is not an evolution of paragliding – it is an entirely new flying experience. Dynamic, direct, and playful, the parakite opens up an additional dimension of wing control: speed, energy, and lift can be combined intuitively and precisely.
In my workshop, you will learn how to handle your parakite safely and confidently on the ground and in the air – and how it fundamentally differs from a traditional paraglider.
A parakite combines the characteristics of a paraglider with the control logic of a kite. The result is a highly dynamic wing with direct control over the angle of attack and the energy within the system.
Unlike a paraglider, you don’t just control the trailing edge – you actively influence the entire wing geometry. This creates intense, immediate feedback and a completely new way of flying.
→ Result: significantly more direct and faster handling
→ Focus is on movement, flow, and energy
Parakites offer a wider speed range and allow you to actively convert altitude into speed and vice versa.
Thanks to the reflex profile, parakites remain stable even at small angles of attack and are far more collapse-resitant.
A parakite is not a beginner’s wing. Its direct handling, high dynamics, and flying close to the ground require an adapted mindset and clean technique.
A workshop helps you learn the fundamentals safely and systematically – without the typical beginner mistakes.
Parakites provide a very stable flying sensation. But that can be deceptive:
High stability reduces classic warning signs (e.g. collapses), while speed and energy can increase quickly.
These features increase passive safety – but they never replace clean pilot technique.
Parakiting doesn’t mean "better" or "more difficult" – it means different!
Those who understand the difference and learn the proper handling will discover a unique, intense flying experience.
